Science Exhibition

In the fast-moving and technical world, students are no more interested in listening to boring lectures and cramming facts. The minds of students work faster. The curiosity level and enthusiasm to learn and analyses any knowledge are excellent. It is the responsibility of the teacher these days to maintain this enthusiasm and give a positive direction to the curiosity of the students and help them dive deep into the ocean of learning. Science exhibition is an excellent tool that involves students in discovering new facts and discoveries with a zeal of interest.

A science exhibition is an opportunity for students to apply the scientific method to conduct an independent analysis. The mere prospect of a science exhibition is to inspire a scientific attitude in the young generation and to make them realize the relationship between science, technology and society. A science exhibition project is not just: only a report but necessarily a discovery or an original piece of research.

Science exhibition is a competitive event raised in the school at which students illustrate scientific experiments and projects. A science exhibition project cuts across almost every curriculum. Students put much time, effort, and thought into a project. They see the result of their thinking in the form of a project. They have developed or utilized problem-solving skills. Another important skill that students utilize when preparing a project is organization. Students will need support and advice from teachers and parents, but this is an opportunity to plan, prepare, and organize a project from start to finish.

In the science exhibition, students showcased static and working models which can be used for learning various scientific concepts for children of any age group. It involves students participating in activities to understand the cognitive, affective and mental aspects of the task. Familiarizing science and technology among the students and creating an awareness regarding its impact on socio-economic and sustainable development.

Purpose of the science exhibition:

  • To focus attention on scientific experiences in school.
  • To stimulate interest in scientific investigation beyond routine classwork.
  • To recognize and commend youthful scientific talent and hobby pursuits.
  • To offer an opportunity for the display of scientific talent through exhibit and demonstration.
  • To stimulate public interest in the scientific abilities of students.
